West Phoenix crash leaves 400+ people without power


PHOENIX — A vehicle accident in west Phoenix early Sunday has left more than 400 residents without power, according to local authorities. The Phoenix Police Department reported that the incident occurred around 2 a.m. near the intersection of 63rd Avenue and Thomas Road.

The crash resulted in several power lines being brought down, blocking the road. Police are coordinating with Salt River Project (SRP) to manage the situation and ensure public safety.

Approximately 454 customers are currently affected by the outage, as reported by SRP. Crews are actively working to restore service, with an estimated time of completion set for around noon.

Details regarding the condition of the vehicle’s occupant remain undisclosed, and authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
