Weekend Disruption: Loop 202 Closure in Gilbert for Critical Construction

PHOENIX — The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) has announced significant closures on the roadways this weekend. Motorists should plan their travels accordingly.
From 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 31, Loop 202 westbound (Santan Freeway) will experience closures between Gilbert and Cooper roads due to ongoing widening work. This project aims to improve traffic flow in the area.
Additionally, the right lanes of Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) will be closed in both directions near 51st Avenue from 10 p.m. on May 30 to 5 a.m. on June 2. This closure is also part of a bridge work related to the widening project. Furthermore, 51st Avenue will be closed at Loop 101 during this time.
In Tempe, the northbound Loop 101 (Price Freeway) ramp to westbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) is set to close overnight on June 1, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. This closure is necessary for pavement maintenance.
