An erratic driver on State Route 347 caused a hit-and-run incident on Christmas Eve, 2024, before speeding south towards Maricopa. Witnesses describe the driver as having displayed reckless behavior prior to the crash.

Daniel Uribe, a resident of Acacia Crossings, was driving home from the Valley with his family when a dark sedan struck their vehicle approximately a mile north of Casa Blanca Road. The impact prompted him to activate his dash camera, which captured crucial footage of the incident.

Uribe shared this footage on the social media platform Nextdoor, seeking assistance in identifying the driver. The video reveals the dark sedan dangerously weaving between Uribe’s vehicle and another SUV, ultimately clipping the front of Uribe’s car before attempting to regain control after drifting onto the shoulder. Unfortunately, the dash cam did not record the car’s license plate.

“I do believe it was a Toyota Camry, and it is a dark gray/charcoal color,” stated Uribe. He urged anyone who might recognize the car or see a vehicle with a dent on the rear passenger side to come forward.
