City of Phoenix dog parks provide a space for off-leash fun and exercise for both dogs and their owners. During the summer, the city allocates time for turf recovery, improvements, and maintenance at various parks. Here are the closures impacting parks in the North Central area.

Rose Mofford Dog Park, located at 9833 N. 25th Ave., closes for maintenance every Wednesday at 10 p.m. and reopens Thursday at 9 p.m. The park is accessible from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on other days and features 2.5 acres of grass, seating areas, and a water station with separate sections for large and small dogs.

Steele Indian School Dog Park, situated at 300 E. Indian School Road, shut its gates on July 1 for annual turf maintenance. The park will stay closed until August 23 and will reopen the following day. It also offers distinct sections for large and small dogs, 1.63 acres of grass, seating areas, and a water station, maintaining regular hours from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

PETsMart Dog Park at Washington Park, found at 6655 N. 23rd Ave., remains open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. This facility features 2.65 acres of grass, designated areas for large and small dogs, seating areas, and a water station. Washington Park does not have any scheduled closure dates.
