The vote concluded with a 5-1 tally, as Nancy Campbell opposed the measure and Michele Lin was absent. This change aims to ensure transparency and integrity among those seeking to hold public office.

Another key issue discussed was the introduction of an ordinance to repeal Article X of the city code concerning the Airport Advisory Board. This proposed repeal garnered unanimous support with a 6-0 vote, although Michele Lin was absent once again.

The new approach will transition from formal board meetings to informal gatherings led by the airport manager. These sessions aim to foster community engagement and collaboration with stakeholders on airport-related matters. Adoption of this ordinance is slated for future council meetings.
