The reunion of two missing labradoodles in Maricopa ended on a joyful note after a week-long search and a significant reward.

Karma and Ona vanished from their Hidden Valley home on June 4, sparking a desperate search across Arizona.

Led by Rosie Tipton and her daughter Liz Soto, the family printed fliers, scoured various locations, and even hired a pet investigator to find the dogs.

They offered a $2,000 reward without any questions asked for their return.

However, promising leads quickly turned into dead ends, often disrupted by prank calls.

“It felt heartbreaking,” Tipton said. “Each day, uncertainty weighed heavily on us.”

Late last night brought a breakthrough. A woman, captivated by an article published by InMaricopa, recognized the dogs and reached out with photos.

“That was the moment we realized hope was alive,” Soto stated, recalling how they dashed to retrieve them.

The dogs had been found safe by a Samaritan who took care of them, despite being a bit worse for wear.

“It was almost surreal,” Tipton described the emotional reunion. “They recognized us instantly and the joy was overwhelming.”

Once home, Karma and Ona enjoyed a celebratory lap around the living room before settling down for much-needed rest.

For Tipton, the dogs represent more than pets; they are an essential source of comfort and companionship.

“Their absence felt like a shadow over our lives,” she admitted. “Now, everything feels lighter.”

The woman who found the dogs received the full $2,000 reward, with the family only inquiring about the dogs’ condition.

“Money can be earned again, but these dogs are irreplaceable,” Tipton emphasized.

The family is now advocating for pet microchipping, especially with Pinal County offering free services until July 3.

Soto credited the community’s involvement, noting how the article played a vital role in capturing public interest.

While some aspects of the case remain under investigation due to animal-related concerns, Tipton and Soto are focused on enjoying their time with Karma and Ona.

“We are incredibly grateful,” Soto concluded, highlighting the community support that made their reunion possible.
