Veterans Day in Tucson: Essential Open and Closed Spots You Need to Know!

In observance of Veterans Day, numerous governmental offices at the city, county, state, and federal levels will not operate on Monday. This closure affects post offices, courts, and several other essential services.
Specifically, all city of Tucson offices will be shuttered, with the exception of emergency services. Residents should also note that most banks and credit unions will be closed for the day.
Garbage and recycling services within Tucson will be suspended on Monday. As a result, collection will be postponed by one day throughout the week. However, the landfill at the Los Reales Sustainability Campus will remain open, and public transportation will function according to its regular schedule.
The Pima County Public Library will be closed, along with all school districts in the area, including the University of Arizona and campuses of Pima Community College. Additional services, such as the Motor Vehicle Division and emissions testing stations, will also be inactive on Monday.
Furthermore, U.S. stock exchanges and bond markets will pause trading in honor of the holiday.
