Valley warming up mid-week, but first a Freeze Warning in effect Tuesday AM

Freeze Warnings remain in effect for much of southern and southeastern Arizona, including the Valley, from 12 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Tuesday.

Residents should prepare for early morning temperatures around the freezing mark. It’s advised to cover outdoor plants and insulate pipes to prevent damage. Ensure that pets are kept warm indoors, as northern Arizona communities are expected to experience single-digit lows.

On Tuesday, daytime highs in the Valley will reach the mid-60s, slightly below the average high of 67 degrees for this time of year. However, a warming trend is anticipated, with Valley highs returning to the lower 70s starting Wednesday.

Here’s a quick look at the seven-day forecast:

TUESDAY: High of 67°F, low of 38°F, sunny & near average.
WEDNESDAY: High of 71°F, low of 42°F, sunny & pleasant.
THURSDAY: High of 72°F, low of 45°F, mostly sunny & breezy.
FRIDAY: High of 67°F, low of 45°F, partly sunny & breezy.
SATURDAY: High of 66°F, low of 41°F, mostly sunny.
SUNDAY: High of 62°F, low of 40°F, partly cloudy.
