Bobby Finke has set a new standard in the grueling 1,500-meter freestyle event. The American women concluded a thrilling nine-day competition at La Defense Arena with a record-breaking performance in the 4×100 medley relay.

Lilly King, looking to redeem herself after disappointing individual results, powered through the breaststroke segment to give the Americans a crucial lead. She handed off to Gretchen Walsh and Torri Huske, two of the biggest U.S. stars at the games. The team finished in 3 minutes, 49.63 seconds, surpassing the previous record of 3:50.40 set by the U.S. in the 2019 World Championships.

Regan Smith, leading off with the backstroke leg, finally earned her first career gold, marking a significant milestone in her swimming career. The event showcased the strength and depth of American swimming talent, setting the stage for future competitions.
