UPDATE: Northbound SR 347 Shutdown After Early Morning Collision

Maricopa, AZ — In the early hours of May 29, 2025, a crash temporarily closed the northbound lanes of State Route 347 just north of the city. The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) reported the incident at approximately 1:46 a.m. The blockage extended between Maricopa’s city limits and Casa Blanca Road.

By 3:30 a.m., officers from the Maricopa Police Department had set up barriers at Lakeview Drive, rerouting traffic. Cones and flares were deployed to direct vehicles through residential areas like Rancho El Dorado and Cobblestone Farms. Northbound drivers were redirected to Interstate 10 via Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway.

As of 3:30 a.m., the southbound lanes remained unaffected. Arizona Department of Public Safety State Troopers joined the scene for traffic management and referred inquiries to the Gila River Police Department, which is leading the investigation. The extent of injuries from the crash has not yet been disclosed.
