UPDATE: Last Night’s Crash Sends One to the Hospital

Maricopa police are investigating a two-car crash that occurred on North John Wayne Parkway on the night of September 9, 2024. The incident was initially reported around 9:40 p.m. and involved a white Honda Accord and a red Chevrolet Aveo, near Honeycutt Road.

According to the Maricopa Police Department, one person was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Initial statements indicated the possibility of minor injuries for multiple individuals, but further clarification was provided by MPD spokesperson Monica Williams.

Williams confirmed that there were no signs of impairment related to the crash and did not disclose specific details about the hospitalized individual, including age, sex, or their role as either a driver or passenger. “Both vehicles were towed from the scene,” she added.
