Unleashing Innovation: A Wild Pizza Experiment Fuels a Thrilling Restaurant Journey

Wild pizza experiment marks start of restaurant adventure

Raceway Bar and Grill is introducing a unique dish that could rival Taco Bell’s famous Mexican Pizza. This limited-time offering is available only this weekend.

The culinary creation, dubbed the “Natcho Average Pizza,” is a cheese pizza that replaces traditional pizza sauce with nacho sauce. It comes loaded with toppings like tortilla chips, ground beef, lettuce, pickled jalapenos, black olives, tomatoes, onions, and a generous drizzle of nacho cheese.

Visually striking, the dish resembles a mountain of nachos sitting atop a pizza crust. Owner Rand Del Cotto evokes a sensory description, stating, “It tastes like how the Spanish language sounds.”

The idea originated in a playful kitchen experiment, explained marketing manager Kaylee Del Cotto, Rand’s daughter-in-law. “We just put our minds together and wanted to come up with something ridiculous,” she said.

This hearty meal, serving three to four people, is priced at $24.99 and will not be the last quirky item on their menu. Raceway Bar and Grill plans to launch a series called “Wild Weekends” over the coming months.

“We’re going to offer next-level, over-the-top items that people have never seen before,” said Kaylee. Each weekend’s special will be announced on their Facebook page, featuring not just entrees and appetizers but possibly drinks and desserts as well.

“We want to try to hit a couple of places on the menu and try some fun stuff,” she added, hinting at the restaurant’s commitment to culinary creativity.
