The 46th annual Relics and Rods Run to the Sun is set to rev up excitement in Havasu this week, drawing hundreds of classic cars and thousands of enthusiastic spectators. This beloved event offers a fun-filled week, fostering camaraderie among car enthusiasts of all ages.

The festivities kick off with car show registration on Wednesday at the London Bridge Resort Convention Center, located at 1477 Queens Bay. Registration runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., after which participants can enjoy a kick-off dinner at the same venue starting at 5 p.m. Attendees must bring their tickets and armbands, with options available for purchase at the door.

On Thursday, registration continues from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The day’s highlight includes a poker run from 9 to 11 a.m., visiting several local businesses such as Havasu 95 Speedway. Meanwhile, the Main Street Cruise, beginning at 5 p.m., invites spectators to mingle with drivers and appreciate the vintage and customized vehicles showcased in downtown Havasu.

The weekend promises even more action with the Show and Shine event featuring a dazzling array of vehicles at Bridgewater Links Golf Course from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday. A two-day spectator pass is available for $15, with free entry for children under 12 years old. Friday also includes a swap meet, car corral, and a concert featuring Crosscutt Music starting at 5 p.m.

Saturday is packed with activities, including a women’s fashion show at the Convention Center with a “PJ’s and Pillow Party” theme, beginning at 10 a.m. Entry fees vary, and the event will feature light refreshments alongside raffles and drawings. Additionally, the London Bridge Model Boat Club will host races by the pond at 11 a.m. Notably, this year introduces the London Bridge Beard and Mustache Contest, beginning at 11 a.m. after a 9 a.m. check-in.

The closing day on Sunday features a pancake breakfast and a parade showcasing many of the week’s cars along Main Street, starting at 9:30 a.m. from Birch Square. The breakfast, hosted at Foothills Bank, will be free, with donations encouraged to support Cub Scout Pack 992.
