Unbearable Humidity Levels Soar, Making Conditions Miserable
PHOENIX — The oppressive heat in Arizona is expected to slightly ease as temperatures drop to a range of 105 to 109 degrees in the coming days.
Despite the common perception, the desert heat isn’t always dry. Increasing humidity combined with warm temperatures has led to uncomfortable conditions across the state. Limited storm activity was observed in higher elevations on Sunday afternoon.
On Monday, sporadic storms are expected to continue, particularly in Southeastern Arizona and the High Country. Residents in these areas should prepare for rain, gusty winds, and lightning.
However, a significant shift in the monsoon pattern is anticipated by midweek. Dry air moving in from the west will likely halt most of the storm activities statewide.
As the storms and humidity dissipate, temperatures will climb back to near-normal levels, marking a temporary break from monsoon-induced weather.
