Two-Car Collision Shakes Up Smith-Enke Median

Two vehicles were towed this morning following a crash on Smith-Enke Road. The accident occurred between Province Parkway and Desert Greens Drive, around 8 a.m.

The collision involved an AT&T pickup truck and a sedan, both traveling west. The truck had severe front-end damage with deployed airbags, and the sedan was damaged at the rear. The contents of the truck’s bed spilled into the median.

Maricopa Police Department responded to the scene quickly. The left lanes in both directions were blocked while the vehicles were removed. Shattered glass was scattered across the roadway, complicating the clean-up effort.

Despite the severity of the damage, no injuries were reported. Monica Williams, MPD spokesperson, confirmed this but did not provide immediate details on the cause of the crash.

Both vehicles have been towed, and the lanes have since reopened.
