Turney Project Set for Crucial Hearing This Month

The Camelback East Village Planning Committee (VPC) is poised to reevaluate a request for rezoning 1.82 acres located at the northeast corner of 21st Street and Turney Avenue. The proposal aims to develop three- and four-story multifamily residential units in the area.
This case, referenced as Z-74-24-6, was previously continued from the November 13 council meeting to facilitate ongoing discussions between the developer, 4401 Turney Villas, LLC, and local residents who have expressed opposition to the current proposal. The VPC is scheduled to address this matter on January 7 at the Devonshire Community Center, beginning at 6 p.m. Following that, the Phoenix City Council will conduct their hearing on January 22.
For more details about upcoming public meetings, residents can visit the Phoenix city clerk’s website. Additionally, the staff report for this case can be accessed through the city’s planning and zoning services webpage.
