Three, two, one - Happy New Year, Tucson!

Tucson is gearing up for a vibrant New Year’s Eve, with a range of events designed for all ages. Central to the festivities will be the iconic Taco Bell taco drop behind Hotel Congress, accompanied by drink specials and countdowns at various venues around town.

Noon Year’s Eve at Trail Dust Town
When: Tuesday, Dec. 31 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Where: Trail Dust Town, 6541 E. Tanque Verde Rd.

This family-friendly event allows those with early bedtimes to celebrate. Attendees can enjoy live music, craft activities, character photos, and unlimited rides. Food and drinks will be available, highlighted by an apple cider toast during the noon balloon drop. Advanced tickets cost $16; door sales are $20.

Noon Year’s Eve at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum
When: Tuesday, Dec. 31 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Where: Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, 2021 N. Kinney Rd.

Park Place Noon Year’s Countdown
When: Tuesday, Dec. 31 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Park Place Mall, 5870 E. Broadway Blvd.

The Center Court of Park Place Mall will feature a dessert table, fashion shows, prizes, and a non-alcoholic toast. Families can also partake in DIY crafts and games. Early registration on the mall’s website is recommended.

Happy Noon Year at Children’s Museum Tucson
When: Tuesday, Dec. 31 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Children’s Museum Tucson, 200 S. 6th Ave.

Children’s Museum Tucson invites families to celebrate with arts and crafts activities, culminating in an apple juice toast at noon. General admission is $12, while children under one qualify for free entry.

The Princess Bride New Year’s Eve Party
When: Tuesday, Dec. 31 at 10 p.m.
Where: The Loft Cinema, 3233 E. Speedway Blvd.

The Loft Cinema will host a screening of “The Princess Bride,” complete with inflatable swords and a costume contest. A complimentary champagne toast will be provided at midnight. Tickets are priced at $15, with discounted rates for members and children.

First Day Hike
When: Wednesday, Jan. 1 at 10 a.m.
Where: Oracle State Park, 3820 E. Wildlife Dr.

On New Year’s Day, nature enthusiasts can join a ranger-led hike along the 1.2-mile Natural Trail Loop at Oracle State Park. This easy-to-moderate hike will convene at the Historic Kannally Ranch House patio at 9:45 a.m. Participants should bring sun protection, appropriate footwear, and water. The park charges a $7 entry fee.
