Tucson Voters: Don’t Miss the Deadline—Mail Back Prop. 414 Ballots by Wednesday!

Tucson election officials are advising voters to return their Prop 414 ballots by March 5, ahead of Election Day on March 11. To ensure timely counting, ballots must be postmarked or dropped off by 7 p.m. on Election Day.
Voters who miss the mailing deadline can submit their completed ballots or request a replacement in person at the Tucson Elections Support Facility, located at 800 E. 12th St., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Additionally, Pima County Recorder’s Office locations, including the Downtown office at 240 N. Stone Ave., the elections branch at 6550 S. Country Club Rd., and the East Side office at 6920 E. Broadway, will accept ballots during the same hours. Note that the East Side office will be closed from noon to 1 p.m. for lunch.
Proposition 414 aims to enhance the city of Tucson’s sales tax by half a cent per dollar, which would fund public safety measures and social programs. For more details, readers can refer to the recent coverage by the Tucson Sentinel.
In local media engagements, Tucson Sentinel senior reporter Paul Ingram is scheduled to appear on Arizona Public Media’s The Press Room on March 7, where he will discuss current local news. The program is broadcast on PBS and NPR. Following this, on March 11, voting centers will operate in each city ward for the Prop 414 election.
The Sentinel’s coverage continues with Editor & Co-Publisher Dylan Smith appearing on the Buckmaster Show, alongside Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, on March 14 at noon on KVOI, 1030 AM. This ongoing dialogue highlights various local issues and elections.
Additionally, on March 15-16, residents can visit the Sentinel’s booth at the Tucson Festival of Books on the UA Mall, where they can interact with reporters and the editorial team. Subsequently, on March 28, Jim Nintzel, the Sentinel’s Government & Political Impact Reporter, will also join the Buckmaster Show.
Important upcoming deadlines include April 7, which marks the cutoff for candidates to submit nominating petitions for the City Council campaigns. Voter registration for the primary election closes on July 8, with early voting beginning on July 9. The primary election is set for August 5, followed by the general election on November 4.
