Scott was arrested early Friday morning after an altercation with a hotel security guard who got in the middle of a fight between the rapper and his bodyguard.

PARIS, France — Travis Scott was released from French police custody without charge following his arrest at a Paris hotel. The incident involved a confrontation with a security guard, as stated by French prosecutors on Saturday.

In a statement, the Paris prosecutor’s office declared, “the police custody order for Travis Scott has been lifted and all proceedings (against him) were terminated because the incident was minor.”

Scott’s arrest took place early Friday when police were summoned to the Georges V hotel. The altercation unfolded between the rapper and his bodyguard, prompting the intervention of a hotel security guard. The guard’s attempt to mediate led to the involvement of law enforcement.

The musician was in Paris for the Olympics. On Thursday night, he attended the men’s basketball semifinal between the United States and Serbia.

Travis Scott, whose real name is Jacques Webster, is recognized as one of the leading figures in hip hop. With over 100 songs on the Billboard Hot 100, he has achieved significant success with hits like “Sicko Mode,” “Highest in the Room,” “The Scotts,” and “Franchise.”

Scott shares two children with his former girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, who is a noted media personality and businesswoman.

Previously, in June, Scott faced legal trouble in Miami Beach. He was arrested on misdemeanor charges of trespassing and public intoxication after an incident at the city’s marina, where he was reported to be shouting obscenities and disobeying police orders.
