Tragic Sun City House Fire Claims Life as Investigation Begins

SUN CITY, Ariz. — A house fire in Sun City resulted in one fatality, as confirmed by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO).

The incident occurred on the 13800 block of 97th Avenue shortly after 8 p.m. on Saturday, in proximity to the intersection of 99th Avenue and Thunderbird Road.

In response, deputies were dispatched to manage traffic while Phoenix firefighters worked to extinguish the flames. Once the blaze was under control, firefighters entered the residence and discovered an adult casualty inside.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been disclosed. MCSO will conduct an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
