Teen boy dies after being stabbed in Ahwatukee


Phoenix police are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred early Saturday morning in Ahwatukee. Officers responded to reports of a teenage boy suffering from severe injuries near 38th Street and Lakewood Parkway around 3 a.m.

Upon arrival, authorities discovered the boy in critical condition. He was promptly transported to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead later that day.

As of now, no suspects have been identified. In the wake of the tragedy, friends and community members gathered at the scene to honor the victim, laying flowers and sharing memories. One friend expressed their grief, stating, “We love him and we came out to show support.”

Another friend remembered the boy’s empathetic nature, highlighting the strong connections he had with those around him. “He’s someone you can open up to and talk to,” they said.

Police are encouraging anyone with information or surveillance footage from the area to contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS. They hope to gather leads that could assist in the investigation.

The community remains in shock, grappling with the loss of the young life taken too soon.
