Tragic Scottsdale Crash Claims One Life, Injures Three; Plane Tied to Motley Crue Member Involved

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — A tragic jet collision at Scottsdale Airport on Monday afternoon has resulted in one confirmed fatality. The incident occurred around 2:45 p.m. when a Learjet 35A, experiencing landing gear failure, veered off the runway and struck a Gulfstream 200 business jet parked on the ramp.
Authorities have closed the runway indefinitely as investigations continue. Details about the number of occupants on board each aircraft remain unclear. Scottsdale Fire Department Public Information Officer Dave Folio confirmed that five individuals were involved in the crash.
Of those, one person died at the scene, while two others were transported to the hospital in critical condition. Another individual sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and one person refused medical attention.
The Learjet belongs to Chromed in Hollywood, Inc., owned by Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil. Reports indicate that while two pilots and two passengers were on the Learjet, Neil was not present at the time of the accident. His legal representatives shared that he extends his thoughts and prayers to all affected.

Scottsdale Mayor Lisa Borowsky also offered her condolences, emphasizing the city’s support for the victims and their families during this difficult time.
