3-year-old boy pulled from Chandler backyard pool dies, identified as son of influencer Emilie Kiser

CHANDLER, Ariz. — A three-year-old boy, Trigg Kiser, has succumbed to injuries after being pulled from a backyard pool. The incident occurred at the home of his mother, social media influencer Emilie Kiser.

Following the drowning, emergency responders were called to the residence on Ashley Drive, near Chandler Heights and Gilbert roads. Initial reports indicate that the boy was found unconscious, prompting immediate CPR by Chandler police officers at the scene.

Firefighters took over when they arrived, and Trigg was subsequently transported to Chandler Regional Hospital before being flown to Phoenix Children’s Hospital. He spent six days in critical care before his passing was confirmed.

The Chandler Police Department extended its condolences to the family in a recent news release, expressing sympathy during this tragic time.

Drowning remains a significant concern, particularly for children aged 1-4, being the leading cause of accidental death in this demographic, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Each day, three children lose their lives to drowning incidents.

To enhance safety around water, the CDC advises the following measures:

  • Learn life-saving skills like swimming basics and CPR.
  • Install a four-sided isolation fence around pools to restrict access.
  • Always use life jackets in open water, even for experienced swimmers.
  • Maintain constant supervision of children near water, avoiding distractions like phones or reading.
