Arizona news anchor dies suddenly at 28

TUCSON, Ariz. — KOLD 13 News is grieving the loss of Ana Orsini, a promising anchor who passed away at the age of 28 from a brain aneurysm last week. The station made the announcement, highlighting Orsini’s impact in her brief time with them since she joined in June 2023.

Colleagues and friends describe Orsini as a person of immense empathy, known for her unwavering support of those in need. Her passion for animal rescue and mentorship to younger journalists left a profound mark at the station.

Prior to her career at KOLD, Orsini pursued studies at the University of Arizona before completing her degree at Texas A&M in 2018. Her contributions were recently honored during a special broadcast, where fellow team members donned pink in her memory.

In a heartfelt tribute, fellow anchor Carsyn Currier reflected on Orsini’s unique qualities. “To know Ana was to LOVE her,” Currier stated. “Her ability to make others feel valued was truly extraordinary.” The loss of Ana Orsini resonates deeply within the KOLD community, where her absence will be felt profoundly.
