Tragic Drowning at Lake Pleasant: Man Loses Life After Watercraft Capsizes

PEORIA, Ariz. — A tragic incident unfolded at Lake Pleasant on Sunday when a personal watercraft overturned, resulting in the death of a 43-year-old man.

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, two passengers were aboard the personal watercraft. Other boaters in the vicinity spotted the overturned craft and attempted to assist the individuals struggling in the water.

Rescue efforts included the recovery of one passenger, who was brought aboard another vessel. CPR was administered, but sadly, the man was pronounced dead at 3:30 p.m. The second passenger managed to escape injury.
