Tragic Collision on SR 202 Claims Life Near 40th Street

PHOENIX — Authorities reported that a multi-vehicle crash in Phoenix resulted in one fatality. The incident occurred on Sunday morning along SR 202, near 40th Street.

Investigators from the Department of Public Safety (DPS) confirmed that five vehicles were involved in the collision. The crash took place close to milepost 1.

DPS indicated that the vehicle crimes unit is currently handling the investigation. Preliminary findings suggest that impairment may have played a role in causing the accident.
