Tragic Blaze Claims Life of 40-Year-Old Woman in West Phoenix

The Phoenix Fire Department successfully extinguished a rapidly spreading fire in a residential trailer in west Phoenix on Saturday evening. Despite their efforts, the incident tragically claimed the life of one individual.
Authorities confirmed that the victim, identified as 40-year-old Megan Vanderjagt, was found at the scene and was beyond resuscitation. The fire occurred near 35th and Glendale avenues, prompting a swift response from emergency services.
Following the incident, the Phoenix Police Department secured the area, while the Phoenix Fire Investigations Task Force commenced a probe to ascertain the fire’s origin and cause. Preliminary reports indicated no signs of foul play.
Fortunately, no firefighters sustained injuries during the operation. Investigations continue as the community mourns the loss of Vanderjagt.
