Tragedy at Valley Hotel: 1 Killed, 3 Hospitalized in Shooting Incident

PHOENIX — A shooting at a hotel in the West Valley has resulted in one fatality and three injuries. According to the Phoenix Police Department, the incident unfolded late Friday night near I-17 and Indian School Road.

Officers responded to the scene at approximately 11:30 p.m. on March 21. The shooting occurred at the Red Roof Inn located at 4130 North Black Canyon Highway. Upon arrival, authorities discovered 25-year-old Tyson Miko Harris with gunshot wounds.

Emergency medical personnel transported Harris to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. As the investigation progressed, police located another victim who had been shot in proximity to Harris. This victim is currently hospitalized, but their injuries are not life-threatening.

Shortly after 11:50 p.m., Mesa police discovered a man and woman who had also sustained gunshot wounds at Center Street and University Drive. They were taken to the hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. Mesa authorities confirmed these victims were involved in the same shooting incident that claimed Harris’s life.

Phoenix police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting, including identifying all injured parties and determining the motive behind the violence. The identities of the three injured individuals remain undisclosed.
