Traffic Stop Sparks Weekend Drug Bust

A recent traffic stop led to significant arrests in Lake Havasu City as part of an ongoing drug sales investigation. At approximately 4:43 a.m. on Saturday, police pulled over 52-year-old Raymond Martinez in the vicinity of State Route 95 and Retail Center Boulevard, according to Police Sergeant Kyle Ridgway.
During the stop, Police K-9 Echo conducted an open-air sniff around Martinez’s vehicle, which resulted in a positive alert. Following this indication, officers executed a search that uncovered approximately 37 grams of methamphetamine.
Martinez was subsequently taken to Kingman, where he was booked into the Adult Detention Facility. He now faces charges for possession of dangerous drugs with the intent to sell, along with a charge for drug paraphernalia.
