Traffic Shifts Loom at the Busy Honeycutt Intersection

Traffic control changes are imminent at the intersection of Honeycutt and Hartman Roads, as improvement work nears completion this week.
City crews plan to finish paving a new dedicated left turn lane from Honeycutt Road onto southbound Hartman Road by the week’s end. Following the paving, new lane markings will be applied, according to a recent news release.
Starting Monday, the intersection will shift from a four-way stop to a two-way stop. Traffic will flow freely on Honeycutt Road while vehicles on Hartman Road will be required to stop.
The transition is scheduled to take place midday on Monday. Officers from the Maricopa Police Department will be present to monitor the change and assist with traffic management as necessary.
This project began in December and, according to city spokesperson Monicas Williams, was fully funded and completed by local developers.
