Tortosa Man Faces Charges for Armed Kidnapping with Chilling Threat: ‘You’re Going to Die Today’
A Tortosa man, identified as 32-year-old Jordan Williams, has been charged and arrested following an armed kidnapping incident involving the mother of his children. The arrest came after the woman sent a distress message to 911, indicating she was in immediate danger.
The Maricopa Police Department responded at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday when the victim revealed she was taken against her will by an armed individual. According to her reports, Williams threatened to kill her during the incident.
Details from police documents reveal that the situation escalated while the two were driving on State Route 347, with Williams allegedly becoming violent after a dispute. He claimed that the argument began after his ex-girlfriend struck him first, prompting him to brandish a silver 9-millimeter handgun and threaten her life unless she drove him home.
The victim’s account contradicts Williams’ version of events, stating that the conflict arose when he refused to exit the vehicle after arriving at his home. She reported being punched in the mouth and receiving threats, with Williams allegedly indicating their children would be fine without her.
Upon arrival at Williams’ residence, police noted the woman appeared “terrified” as she escaped from the driver’s side. Williams resisted police commands and was subdued using a Taser.
Officers discovered the firearm tucked under the front passenger seat, corroborating the victim’s claims of violence. The woman displayed visible injuries, including swollen lips, indicating physical assault.
Jordan Williams has been charged with multiple offenses, including kidnapping, aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, and making threats. He is currently held in Pinal County jail and could face up to 41 years in the Arizona Department of Corrections if convicted.
