The playoffs have officially commenced in Arizona’s major high school football conferences, including 4A, 5A, and 6A. This year’s competition promises excitement as the Open Division playoffs are set to begin next week, marking the 35th season of Friday Night Fever, the state’s premier high school football showcase.

6A Playoffs Quarterfinal Matchups:

The quarterfinal games are scheduled for Friday, Nov. 22, and will take place at the home venues of the higher-seeded teams. The state championship for the 6A division will occur at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, at Arizona State University’s Mountain America Stadium in Tempe.

This season will see a new state champion crowned, as the defending champions, Saguaro, did not qualify for the playoffs this year.
