The Cup, but with ice cream this time

Don Senneville and Jim White

In a delightful twist, the grandchildren of local coffee enthusiasts have turned their attention to ice cream, seeking recognition for this beloved treat. The CUP stands firmly in support of young voices, inviting them to share their insights through written expression. Their research projects will be featured in The CUP, showcasing their fresh perspectives on the world of ice cream. The initiative encourages budding journalists to sharpen their analytical skills while engaging in a sweet endeavor. The first article comes from 11-year-old Jordan, a fifth grader.

“My grandpa and his friend Don usually focus on coffee shops, but today I’m taking a different route,” Jordan writes. “They proposed a deal, and I couldn’t resist! I’m raising $20 for a video game called FC 25, where you can assemble a dream soccer team, featuring legendary players like Messi. Today, I’ll cover five ice cream shops along with a frozen yogurt spot: Cold Stone, Cherry on Top, The City Creamery, Dairy Queen, and Handel’s.”

“I want fellow kids to try these ice cream places and share their thoughts with me. If you taste them, please reach out to Jordan at The CUP. Every opinion counts!”
