The Foundry Unites Community Spirit with Taste of Havasu Charity Event

This evening, local residents can indulge in culinary delights at the highly anticipated Taste of Havasu event. Among the returning vendors is The Foundry, a Lake Havasu eatery that has garnered attention since its inception just over a year ago. Owner April Caley expressed excitement about participating again in the K-12 Foundation’s fundraiser.
The Foundry’s participation isn’t an isolated occurrence; the restaurant frequently engages in community events. Caley noted its prior involvement in Havasu Top Chef, Southwest Chowderfest, and Mohave College’s Bighorn Chili Cook-Off. “We attend every food-centered event,” she remarked, highlighting the value of community engagement.
For Caley, working within a smaller community enhances the local impact. She emphasized that supporting local initiatives is crucial for business growth. “Not only is it a great way to share your business with the community, but it shows your support,” she explained.
During the Taste of Havasu, attendees will have the chance to sample The Foundry’s popular gumbo. This dish represents more than just food; it symbolizes a collective spirit of support within the community. “The more we support each other, the stronger we will all become,” Caley added.
Taste of Havasu runs from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the SARA Park Rodeo Grounds, located at 7206 Dub Campbell Parkway. Adult tickets are priced at $25, increasing to $30 at the gate.
