PHOENIX — After a brief cool spell, temperatures in the Valley are set to climb back into the 90s this week. An area of low pressure that brought rain and snow to parts of Arizona has moved out, allowing for sunny skies to dominate.
As the week progresses, highs are expected to hover in the 90s, and there’s potential for a couple of days exceeding 100 degrees. While this would be among the latest instances of 100-degree weather on record, predictions suggest the state might just fall short of that landmark.
In higher elevations, temperatures will retreat to the 70s and 80s by mid-week, providing a relief from the heat experienced in the lower deserts.
Looking ahead, no rain or snow is anticipated for the remainder of the week, setting the stage for persistent sunshine.
