SWAT Operation in Heritage District Leads to Dramatic Arrest
A man was arrested this morning following a search at a home in the Heritage District. The operation involved heavily armed city and county law enforcement officers.
According to Monica Williams, the spokesperson for the Maricopa Police Department (MPD), the Pinal County Regional SWAT team collaborated with MPD detectives. They executed a search warrant on a residence located in the 20000 block of Taft Avenue.
At 9:30 a.m., a Pinal County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit vehicle was still present at the scene. Also visible was a box of latex gloves on a vehicle outside the residence.
One man was taken into custody before the SWAT team cleared the area, Williams informed. However, she did not disclose the identity of the arrested individual, the charges they face, or any details regarding possible injuries, citing that the matter is an “active investigation.”
