SUV Veers Off Course in Dangerous Glennwilde Collision
Maricopa, AZ – The Maricopa Police Department responded to a vehicle collision on Alan Stephens Parkway around noon on December 24, 2024. The incident involved two cars and notably obstructed traffic on the Glennwilde beltway.
According to the Phoenix Regional Dispatch Center, the crash occurred at 12:02 p.m., between Glennwilde Drive and Stonegate Road. Emergency services promptly arrived at the scene to assess the situation.
The incident involved a silver Toyota RAV4, which suffered damage to its front passenger side and was found disabled in the westbound bicycle lane, facing eastbound. Simultaneously, a Volkswagen Atlas displayed deployed airbags and damage to its rear passenger side, remaining immobilized in the middle of the roadway.
Police officers informed local media that there were no reported injuries from the collision. A tow truck was dispatched and arrived around 12:30 p.m. to assist with the vehicles.
