NORTH SACATE ROAD, AZ – Northbound State Route 347 faced temporary closures following a two-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck and a silver SUV around 9:25 a.m. today.

According to Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesperson Bart Graves, the accident occurred near North Sacate Road and resulted in one of the vehicles spinning out and blocking a lane. “The vehicle spun out, hit the semi-truck and is blocking one of the lanes,” Graves explained.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident. Eyewitnesses indicated that a Gila River ambulance arrived at the scene shortly after the crash, at around 9:30 a.m.

The collision left the silver SUV, which appeared severely damaged, and another maroon SUV disabled at the roadside. Reports suggest that the silver SUV collided with an orange tractor-trailer owned by Reliable Carriers Inc.

Initially, both northbound lanes were obstructed, but Graves confirmed that the vehicles were cleared, allowing the road to reopen by 9:37 a.m. A tow truck capable of hauling the semi was dispatched to the site.

Despite the prompt response, traffic congestion heading out of the city toward Interstate 10 remained significant, with backups stretching for miles.
