Suspected DUI in Thursday Afternoon Hit-and-Run Shocks Community

A non-injury car accident that occurred Thursday afternoon near downtown Lake Havasu City is under investigation after several vehicles were damaged.

Sgt. Kyle Ridgway with the Lake Havasu City Police Department said officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run collision. Upon arrival, they located a vehicle that had struck two other vehicles parked along McCulloch Boulevard.

Numerous police cars, a fire truck, and an ambulance responded to the incident, but there were no reported injuries. Ridgway explained that officers are in the process of conducting a DUI investigation, as impairment is suspected.
