Despite leading by as many as 26 points, Phoenix faced a strong challenge as Portland clawed back to 99-97 in the dying moments of the game. However, Booker and Tyus Jones successfully converted four free throws in the last 21 seconds, ensuring the Suns maintained their lead.

Grayson Allen played a significant role off the bench, scoring 18 points and hitting a team-high four 3-pointers. Jones and Bradley Beal were instrumental as well, each contributing 15 points. Notably, Jusuf Nurkic dominated the boards, recording a game-high 15 rebounds.

Trailing 47-43 at halftime, the Suns stormed back in the third quarter, scoring 44 points. On the opposing side, Anfernee Simons and Jerami Grant led the Trail Blazers’ scoring with 20 points each. Deni Avdija contributed 13 points, while former Sun Deandre Ayton added 10 points and 13 rebounds.
