Suni Lee Secures Olympic Podium with Spectacular Uneven Bars Routine
Lee was Team USA’s only chance at a medal in the women’s uneven bars final.
WASHINGTON — Days after clinching a medal in the all-around competition, Suni Lee has secured yet another spot on the podium.
The American gymnast earned a bronze medal in the women’s uneven bars final, a crucial event for the USA team.
Having previously helped Simone Biles and the U.S. women secure a team gold earlier in the week, Lee stood as the sole representative for the U.S. in this particular competition.
Algeria’s Kaylia Nemour claimed the gold, while China’s Qiu Qiyuan took the silver medal.
Sunday’s achievement marks Lee’s third medal in Paris and her sixth overall in her gymnastics career.
