Young animal enthusiasts can delve into animal welfare through the Arizona Humane Society’s (AHS) summer camps, scheduled for June and July at the Rob & Melani Walton Papago Park Campus. These camps cater to kids aged 5-17, offering a diverse range of STEAM-based activities.
Among the sessions are Animal Ed-Ventures, where campers learn how to impact animal lives; Shelter Explorers, that provides insights into the roles of animal rescuers; and Pet Vets, focusing on veterinary science fundamentals for aspiring young professionals. Additionally, the Pawsitive Service Camp targets neurodivergent youth, offering a supportive environment to foster new skills and hands-on experiences.
Parents registering multiple children can access discounts. For more details and registration, visit www.azhumane.org/summer-camp.
