Street Queen Tacos Launches: Experience the Salsa That Defines Every Taco

Street Queen Tacos, a well-known taco destination in Casa Grande, celebrated the opening of its second location yesterday in Maricopa.
Co-owner Diego Negrete expressed enthusiasm about the new establishment, stating, “It’s another step moving forward. We’re just here to serve the community…more than anything, you know, serve quality food, great service, and the best salsa in town.”
Alongside Negrete, Lupe Arroya emphasized the significance of their salsa in defining the brand. “What I always like to say is that the soul of a taco is the salsa,” she remarked.
When discussing what distinguishes their offerings, Arroya insisted on one key element: spiciness. “If the sauce is not spicy, the taco’s not gonna be good,” she explained. “The salsa has to be spicy so the taco can have flavor.”
The new venue occupies the former Tacos N’ More space in the Cobblestone Fiesta plaza, marking a symbolic return for Negrete and Arroya, both lifelong residents of Maricopa. “We lived here for our whole lives, basically,” Arroya noted. “We’re locals. We wanted to serve a local community. We started in Casa Grande, but we wanted to be here. It was always something we wanted to do.”
Negrete remarked on how the opportunity aligned perfectly for them, adding, “It kind of just gave itself.”
Just an hour into the grand opening, the restaurant was bustling. The seating areas quickly filled, with numerous patrons waiting for takeout orders. Families engaged with a photo booth set up for the occasion, while an employee rushed fresh salsa to replenish the salsa bar, indicating a strong start for the new location.
