Southbound I-17 reopens at Camelback Road after crash

PHOENIX — At least one person was seriously injured in a crash on Interstate 17 in Phoenix on Sunday night, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS).

DPS informed 12News that troopers responded to a “serious injury” crash on southbound I-17 at milepost 204, near Camelback Road.

The collision led to the closure of the freeway’s southbound lanes. The lanes were reopened early Monday morning.

Drivers experienced significant delays due to the incident, as stated by the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT).

The northbound lanes were unaffected by the crash.
