Son in Custody Following Gruesome Discovery of Mother’s Decapitated Body in Glendale Apartment

Glendale police discovered the body of a mother at an apartment located near 43rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road.

In a shocking turn of events, a 25-year-old man, Alejandro Gonzalez, has been arrested for allegedly murdering his mother. The police found her decapitated body on a welfare check conducted on September 28, according to court documents.

Family members had expressed concern when the woman failed to attend her birthday celebration on Saturday. This prompted relatives to ask the police for a wellness check at the shared apartment.

Upon arrival, officers encountered a disturbing scene filled with blood. They later detained Gonzalez, who reportedly had dried blood on his legs and socks.

During questioning, the suspect claimed he was using drugs with an unnamed acquaintance. Gonzalez alleged that this individual attacked his mother first, leading him to also strike her with a knife. However, police found no evidence suggesting that anyone apart from Gonzalez was involved in her death. The investigation is still ongoing.

Gonzalez now faces serious charges, including murder and theft.
