Someburros Aims to Ignite Maricopa’s Culinary Landscape

Someburros Mexican Food, a Chandler-based restaurant chain, may soon expand to Maricopa. The establishment, known for its Sonoran-style cuisine, has submitted pre-application documentation to the city’s planning department to construct a new location.

The proposed site, located near Stonegate Road and Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway, will feature a 3,519 square foot layout. Plans include both indoor and patio dining options, along with a drive-thru for convenient pick-up orders. The application was filed on December 24, 2024, as detailed in recently released public documents.

If approved, this location will join other anticipated establishments in the area, such as a Buffalo Wild Wings, a standalone Starbucks, and an additional Panda Express. To date, only the Buffalo Wild Wings has advanced by submitting paperwork in September, but it is still awaiting review by the Maricopa Planning and Zoning Commission.

Currently, Someburros operates 18 locations throughout Arizona, marking this proposed site as the first south of the greater Phoenix area. The nearest existing restaurant is approximately 22 miles away, situated near the Chandler Fashion Center mall.

As the planning process unfolds, the community eagerly anticipates the potential addition of this new dining option.
