Temperatures across Arizona are poised to climb 10 to 20 degrees above average, ushering in a significant warm spell.
PHOENIX — A persistent high-pressure system will dominate the weather pattern for the week ahead. This weekend marks the beginning of a warm trend that is expected to push temperatures into record territory early next week.
On Monday, Phoenix could challenge the record high of 94 degrees set in 1990, while Tuesday may reach 96 degrees, potentially breaking the record from 2022. Throughout the Valley, the coming days will likely offer the warmest temperatures of the year so far, with highs predominantly in the 90s.
Even Flagstaff, usually cooler, is projected to experience its highest temperatures of the season, with daytime readings possibly reaching the 70s. Dry weather will prevail, with minimal chance for precipitation during this heat wave.
