Bahama Buck's
Snow Cone Shop Frozen in Time by Paper Towel Crisis
Bahama Bucks has experienced a successful start since its opening in November. However, the establishment recently received its first less-than-stellar health inspection rating in two months on Tuesday afternoon.
The primary issue noted during the inspection was a lack of paper towels at a prep sink. This oversight led the Pinal County Health Department to issue a “satisfactory” rating following their evaluation of several local eateries from August 24 to 29.
Notably, while the previous health code violation was recorded at The New HQ in early July, the last time a “satisfactory” rating was noted dates back to early February.
In contrast, other restaurants such as Cold Beers and Cheeseburgers, Chipotle Mexican Grill, and The Roost received “excellent” ratings, each showing no violations during inspections.
Understanding these ratings is crucial for consumers. An “excellent” rating indicates full compliance with all priority standards, while a “satisfactory” rating signifies that one or more priority standards were out of compliance but were corrected at the time of inspection.
If a restaurant is rated as needing improvement, it means at least one violation was not corrected during the inspection. In cases classified as “unacceptable,” there are imminent health hazards present, which could stem from various serious issues. Corrective actions taken during a follow-up inspection can lead to a satisfactory rating if resolved to the department’s standards.
