Small Wildfire Breaks Out Near Flagstaff: Residents on Alert

COCONINO COUNTY, Ariz. — A wildfire known as the Corral Fire has erupted near Flagstaff, consuming approximately 20 acres. This incident was first reported early Monday morning, occurring about two miles east of Mormon Lake.
Coconino National Forest officials are currently mobilizing resources to contain the fire, acknowledging that smoke will likely linger in the vicinity for an extended period.
As a precautionary measure, residents are advised to avoid the area. While officials do not anticipate any closures, motorists on Lake Mary Road should be cautious, with firefighters actively working nearby.
