The gymnastics star was wearing a boot during the Closing Ceremony of the Paris Olympics, but fans shouldn’t be concerned.
PARIS, France — Simone Biles participated in the Paris Olympics Closing Ceremony, aiding in the handover to Los Angeles. Standing on stage with L.A. Mayor Karen Bass, Biles passed the Olympic flag to actor Tom Cruise.
Notably, Biles was wearing a boot on her left foot. She had been seen in the same boot during an NBC interview with Mike Tirico after the women’s gymnastics events concluded, clarifying it was a precautionary measure.
Biles had an exceptional run at the Paris Games, securing three gold medals and one silver. She mentioned that her left calf was slightly aggravated during the qualifiers, but assured that it was nothing alarming.
“Calf is good, just precautionary,” Biles said last week. “Making sure to heal up for the tour after this. Just a bit of soreness.”
